KAKISHIBU-SOME
The persimmon is collected while it is still green and unripe, crushed and pressed, and the astringent liquid is left to mature in a cool, dark place for a number of years. When the persimmon is first astringent, it is yellow-green in colour, but as time goes by, it turns brown. Persimmon tannin has high waterproofing, antiseptic and mothproofing properties and has been used daily in the lives of ordinary people since ancient times.
